This time, I went to Bali for family trip. After shop around, I choose this hotel because of its location. The price though its quite expensive although not as expensive as the hotel next door. But, I'd say it is worst than the hotel next door.
The good thing about this hotel is the location. In front is the famous Kuta beach, Kuta Bali. It is the center of attention here. Around there's several hotel like Hard Rock Hotel, Sheraton etc. When I checked in, I've been upgraded to superior room with twin bad. I got excited. When I enter my room, I'm shocked. This is a superior room. It is small, barely no room for luggage if you have more than 2 luggage. The room design is awful. The furniture is old. The floor is not that clean. No room for extra bed, wait there is, you can put extra bed on the floor. I mean way down on the floor, just a single mattress, that's it. Going to the bath room. If you have say 3 years old kid, it would be hard just to get in the tub. I don't know who design this. But it distress us as the guest. Even for me as an adult, I need to be careful and have to take extra effort just to climb to the tub. So if you are western, big tall person, this one not recommended.
Now the food. I'd say the food is okay. Not that great, but it's just okay. Not much an option there. If you want something different, go outside, there's plenty of better restaurant there. McDonald just 2 minutes walk. Pronto Pizza (yummy), terrace cafe to Hard Rock Cafe just beside you. Take 5 minutes walk, plenty of shops and restaurant. McDonald, Wendys are still reasonable price.
This hotel has attractive design. And the pool is on the top floor. The view is nice. You can swim and enjoy the Kuta beach view from the pool.
For those of you that loves to surf, in the hotel premises there's surf school just in front of the lobby. This should be one of the benefit. The staff are good. They speak english very well.
So, for me that concern about family, this one not recommended. But if you are just solo traveler you will be just fine.
Room Tip: Choose the room facing the beach. Or near the pool
